Russ Weinzimmer & Associates

Russ Weinzimmer & Associates is a national law firm serving clients all across the USA. The firm was founded by Russ Weinzimmer, a highly-experienced Registered Patent Attorney, and former Chief Patent Counsel of an entrepreneurial global high technology company. Russ Weinzimmer & Associates is unique in that we provide services to start-ups, small companies, physicians, and entrepreneurial individuals. Services include: patent searching, patent preparation, patent prosecution, and patent licensing, as well as corporate patent services, including patent program management, and strategic patent portfolio development. Engineering Services can also be provided on an as-needed basis during patent preparation.

Our extensive and advanced technical background enables us to work with world-class engineers, doctors, and inventors on any technology from the simplest to the most complex. Being technologists as well as lawyers, we can speak with inventors, physicians, and engineers in their own language, putting them at ease and saving time while working to prepare new patent applications. We work efficiently and creatively with inventors, health professionals, engineers, and engineering management to identify patentable technology, and to transform that technology into strategically valuable intellectual property assets. We also work with management to prepare and negotiate patent license agreements.

We provide patent services to entrepreneurial start-ups, corporations, and independent inventors, as well as serving as a US associate for foreign law firms seeking to file the US counterpart to foreign patent applications. We are well-situated to personally serve patent clients throughout the United States, including clients located in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Richmond, Chicago, Boston, Cambridge, Worcester, the high-tech corridor along Rte. 128, Nashua, Manchester, and New York City. We also serve English-speaking International clients, such as companies or individuals in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, India, China, Japan, Korea, and Europe.

Unlike traditional law firms, we keep our overhead low by not leasing expensive downtown office space, and by transacting most business via telephone, email, fax, and courier. Consequently, our clients receive highly-experienced patent services and representation at a reasonable cost. In addition, we provide senior-level, personal service that is typically unavailable from larger firms at a reasonable price. We make the effort to really understand your business objectives, so that our service effectively helps you to reach your goals. We offer an informative free initial telephone consultation.

All consultations with an attorney regarding your technical ideas and legal matters are confidential, whether you choose to hire the firm or not.
